Holokote, a patented feature by Magicard, is a secure watermark integrated into the standard print cycle using regular consumables such as ribbons and cards.

During the standard printing process, the HoloKote image is frosted into the clear overcoat application, creating a distinct watermark-like layer on the card’s surface. This layer becomes visible when the card is tilted in the light, allowing for easy visual verification.

With all Magicard direct-to-card printers, users have the option to choose from four standard secure Holokote designs directly through the printer driver, enhancing security and ease of use for organizations.

Magicard introduces a truly distinctive security feature with HoloPatch cards. These cards are characterized by a highly reflective gold ‘super diffuser’ seal, a unique offering from Magicard. When the HoloKote watermark is applied onto this seal, it becomes prominently visible under all lighting conditions. The combination of HoloKote with HoloPatch creates an effect akin to hologram seals, enhancing the card’s security. One of the standout benefits of HoloKote with HoloPatch is its distance-visible security mark. This means that even from a distance of six feet or more, security personnel or colleagues can easily verify the authenticity of the badge, adding an extra layer of security and convenience for organizations.
Your own logo as a secure watermark
The Magicard 600 ID card printer empowers users with the option of Custom HoloKote, a feature that allows for the incorporation of a personalized HoloKote watermark directly into the standard print process. This customized watermark can feature an organization’s logo or any other unique security design, providing enhanced security and brand representation on each card. By integrating such personalized elements into the printing process, organizations can effectively strengthen their security measures while maintaining a professional and consistent brand identity across all ID cards.
Activating your secure watermark
Continuing the legacy of its predecessor, the Magicard 600 retains the capability to print an anti-fraud customized watermark on every card it produces. However, it introduces a significant advancement by enabling the secure online delivery of bespoke HoloKote watermarks directly through the printer driver interface. Previously, each printer could only accommodate one design, limiting customization options. With the Magicard 600, users now have the ability to store and access up to ten different designs. This expanded capacity empowers organizations to tailor their security features more precisely to their unique requirements, enhancing overall security while maintaining ease of use and flexibility in the printing process.
