HoloKote for greater visual security
HOLOKOTE
It’s crucial to prioritize security when designing ID cards, as elements like color, layout, and design should never overshadow the primary concern of safeguarding sensitive information. Without adequate security features, ID cards are vulnerable to unauthorized duplication, posing significant risks to individuals and organizations.
Fortunately, all Magicard ID card printers come equipped with a robust security feature known as HoloKote, which applies a secure watermark onto the surface of each card.
With the Magicard 600, organizations have the added benefit of customizing this watermark to feature their unique logo or security design. This customizable feature can be tiled or stretched across the card, providing enhanced protection against counterfeiting and ensuring the integrity of the identification system.
Holokote, a patented feature by Magicard, is a secure watermark integrated into the standard print cycle using regular consumables such as ribbons and cards.
During the standard printing process, the HoloKote image is frosted into the clear overcoat application, creating a distinct watermark-like layer on the card’s surface. This layer becomes visible when the card is tilted in the light, allowing for easy visual verification.
With all Magicard direct-to-card printers, users have the option to choose from four standard secure Holokote designs directly through the printer driver, enhancing security and ease of use for organizations.
